I had the opportunity to work on an exciting project as part of School of Motion’s Principles of Design for Animation Course. The project involved
The project brief was challenging and inspiring, calling for creating a 30-second spot that showcased the broader ideas behind the SmartCity concept. Specifically, the video aimed to communicate IBM’s focus on less traffic, affordable housing, and lower energy costs while ensuring that the video had a friendly feel and did not appear intrusive.
With my extensive expertise in animation and a keen eye for detail, I set to work designing and storyboarding the entire spot, taking great care to incorporate IBM’s brand guidelines throughout the process. My primary objective was to reinforce the idea that the SmartCity concept was safe and beneficial. The design reflected this by creating a compelling visual narrative that was both engaging and informative.
The result was a stunning and visually captivating animation that perfectly captured the SmartCity concept, earning the client significant success and acclaim in the market.
